Platzgummer (hamstring) was placed on non-football injury list Thursday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
Platzgummer spent last season on New York's practice squad and was re-signed in April. The 24-year-old is unlikely to crack the rotation as the Giants brought in Devontae Booker and Corey Clement to serve as the backups behind Saquon Barkley.
