The Giants re-signed Platzgummer on Monday.
Platzgummer, a member of the NFL International Player Pathway Program, spent last season on New York's practice squad. A former standout of the Swarco Raiders Tirol in Austria, Platzgummer will work to continue progressing in his development with the Giants.
