Shepard (Achilles) agreed to a restructured contract with the Giants on Thursday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Shepard will remain with the Giants for a seventh consecutive year while likely taking a pay cut after sustaining a season-ending Achilles' injury in mid-December during the 2021 campaign. The wideout's recovery process is going smoothly so far, and there's optimism that he could be cleared to return by early summer. The 29-year-old, who hasn't played a full season in any of the last three years, hauled in 36 of 53 targets for 366 yards and a touchdown across seven games in 2021, all career-low marks.
