The Raiders added Tavecchio to their practice squad on Friday, Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Long-time kicker Sebastian Janikowski is slow to recover from a back injury and remains questionable in advance of Sunday's game at Tennessee, spurring the Raiders to bring Tavecchio back in to the fold. He hasn't attempted a kick of any kind in an NFL setting during stints with four organizations, but if Janikowski is held out in Week 1, Tavecchio could potentially be the beneficiary of plenty of opportunity from a Raiders offense that ranked seventh in scoring a season ago.
