The Chargers waived Kampmoyer on Tuesday.
Kampmoyer caught four passes for 35 yards, including a two-point conversion, across three preseason games. The 6-foot-4 tight end made his NFL debut last year, but he played just three offensive snaps during his only appearance. He's a likely candidate to return to Los Angeles via a practice squad deal if he clears waivers.
