The Chiefs waived Book on Monday.
Book, who spent the entire offseason with Kansas City, couldn't secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster but may be a candidate to resurface on the practice squad. A 2021 fourth-round pick by the Saints, Book's only career appearance came as a rookie with New Orleans.
