Johnson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Johnson injured his ankle against the Texans in Week 6, and despite the extra rest courtesy of the Week 7 bye, he was unable to participate in practice all week. Kaevon Merriweather figures to be the top candidate to start alongside Eric Murray at safety, although Rayuan Lane and Jalen Huskey could also see more defensive snaps. Johnson's next chance to play is Week 9 against the Ravens on Thursday.
