The Jaguars extended Beathard on Friday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
After having signed a reported two-year deal with the Jaguars, Beathard is in line to remain the team's primary backup quarterback to starter Trevor Lawrence as the 2023 season approaches. The 29-year-old, whose last NFL regular-season start was in 2020 with the 49ers, appeared in four games last season and went 7-for-11 with 35 passing yards and an interception in that span.
