The Jaguars signed Smith on Friday, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
The Jaguars are currently dealing with injuries to their top two wideouts -- DJ Chark and Marvin Jones -- and recently had to place Travis Etienne, who was working primarily as a slot receiver, on injured reserve. Smith brings a veteran presence to Jacksonville's ailing receiving corps, but he has only played four games since 2016.
