Coach Urban Meyer indicated that Jones (shoulder) should be ready for Week 1 against the Texans, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Jones has avoided a worst-case scenario with the AC joint sprain and looks to still be on track for the opener at this point. It will still be worth monitoring his progression leading up to the opener as Jones prepares to embark on his first season in Jacksonville with rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence at the helm. Jones joins a Jacksonville wideout group that features a pair of talented young wideouts in DJ Chark (finger) and Laviska Shenault.
