The Jaguars will elevate Wright from their practice squad to handle kicking duties Thursday against the Bengals, J.P. Shadrick of the team's official site reports.
He'll be summoned as a replacement for Josh Lambo (personal), who was been ruled out for the contest. Assuming Lambo's absence from the team isn't a long-term concern, Wright will likely revert to the practice squad shortly after Thursday's contest. Wright's previous NFL action came in three games with the Steelers last season, when he connected on all four of his field-goal attempts and all seven of his extra-point tries.
