The Jaguars elevated Wright from their practice squad ahead of Thursday's game against the Bengals, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
As expected, Wright will at least temporarily join the Jaguars to handle kicking duties while Josh Lambo (personal) misses the Week 4 matchup. Jacksonville hasn't indicated that Lambo will miss additional time beyond Thursday's game, but a solid showing by Wright could put Lambo's job on notice in any case. Through the Jaguars' first three games, Lambo has missed all three of his field-goal attempts and has converted on only five of seven extra-point tries.
