Atlanta waived Dalton on Wednesday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Dalton joined the Falcons' practice squad last October after being cut by the Saints in the offseason. He had 13 total tackles in seven games last season, but he missed some time due to a toe injury suffered Week 11 against the Bears.
