The Cowboys waived Jelks (undisclosed) on Sunday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The Cowboys didn't specify an injury designation when cutting Welks, which signifies that he's recovered from the undisclosed injury that caused him to spend last season on IR. Jelks was waived to make room for Everson Griffin on the roster.
