Jones will sign with the Chargers, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

With Stevie Johnson (torn meniscus) likely out for at least the first few weeks of the regular season, the Chargers brought in some veteran wideouts and ultimately settled on Jones. Though he did lead an injury-plagued Packers offense in receiving yards last year, the 32-year-old wideout previously appeared to be on the NFL fringe, having been cut by the Raiders and Giants prior to the season. Jones could compete with Dontrelle Inman and Tyrell Williams to serve as San Diego's No. 3 wideout while Johnson is sidelined.
