Morgan was waived by the Jets on Tuesday.
Morgan was competing with Mike White (ribs) for the team's backup quarterback role behind Zach Wilson, but ultimately came up short. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he spent most of his rookie season on the Jets' practice squad. Assuming he clears waivers, that is again a likely landing spot for the second-year signal caller.
