The Giants cut Brownlee from the practice squad Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Brownlee has appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Jets and Chiefs during his career, catching five passes (nine targets) for 56 yards and one touchdown. The 27-year-old has experience, so he could get an opportunity elsewhere, though it may be as a member of another team's practice squad.
