The Bears waived Wims (oblique) on Thursday.
The 2018 seventh-round pick spent three-plus years with the team that drafted him, catching 28 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns in 33 regular-season games. At this point, Wims probably is best known for throwing punches at Saints cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the middle of a game, which led to a two-game suspension.
