Petty will be the second quarterback to suit up Sunday for New York, putting him in line to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick following the ACL injury to Geno Smith. The second-year player out of Baylor would appear to have the edge over rookie Christian Hackenberg for the team's backup quarterback job, as Hackenberg remains on the inactive list for the Week 8 matchup.
