Hanson was examined for a concussion and is out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Browns.
The backup offensive lineman has played in seven games this season, starting three. Hanson signed with the Jets' practice squad Nov. 6 after being waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Packers in August.
