Coach Robert Saleh hopes Davis (ankle) will be able to return from injured reserve following the Jets' Week 6 bye, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Davis started the season on injured reserve after suffering the ankle injury during the preseason, and he may be able to return after missing the first five games of the campaign. The 25-year-old is expected to start alongside C.J. Mosley at linebacker once healthy, which would relegate fill-in starter Quincy Williams to a rotational role.
