The Jets and Cole agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Cole broke out as an undrafted rookie in 2017 with a 42-748-3 line on 83 targets. His production has taken a noticeable dip since then, with his YPC dropping from 17.8 that season to 12.8 over the past three. Upon joining the Jets, Cole will be behind Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder in the pecking order at wide receiver, likely competing with second-year pro Denzel Mims for reps.
