Phillips (ankle) will start the 2021 NFL season on the Jets' reserve/PUP list.
Phillips suffered a season-ending ankle injury in late October of 2020. He began training camp on the active/PUP list, and he will now be sidelined for at least the first six weeks of the season. When healthy, he projects to provide depth on the edge of the team's defensive line.
