The Jets signed Adams to a reserve/future contract Thursday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Adams spent most of the season on the Bears' practice squad and was targeted just once in his lone regular-season appearance. He'll now attempt to carve out a role with the Jets during the offseason.
