Hampton suffered a ruptured Achilles on Sunday's 40-3 loss to the Seahawks, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Hampton signed with the Jets on Saturday and made his debut with the team Sunday. However, he suffered a season-ending injury after just five snaps. Hampton will be placed on IR in the near future.
