Smith failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 30-9 loss to the Saints.
Smith failed to make a mark on the contest after being elevated from the practice squad for his season debut. Fellow practice squad elevation D.J. Montgomery was much more active, catching three of six targets for 36 yards. The injury-riddled Jets may elevate both receivers again in Week 15 against the Dolphins, but Montgomery will likely get first crack over Smith if they choose only one.
