Jets' Zach Wilson: Runs for 52-yard TD in win
Wilson completed 14 of 22 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Jaguars.
Wilson made one of the most exciting plays of his young NFL career in the first quarter, tiptoeing the sideline and making a pair of Jaguars defenders miss to get the Jets on the board with a 52-yard touchdown run. He didn't get much going as a passer while throwing to a depleted receiving corps, and Wilson threw consecutive incompletions from Jacksonville's two-yard line to turn it over on downs just before halftime. Wilson redeemed himself on another 4th-and-goal opportunity in the fourth quarter, putting the Jets up 23-15 with a one-yard touchdown pass to offensive lineman Conor McDermott. The rookie second-overall pick's 7:11 TD:INT is nothing to write home about, but Wilson has been quietly effective with his legs, scoring four rushing touchdowns in his last five games. His banged-up receiving corps and up-and-down play will make Wilson tough to trust in Week 17 against the Buccaneers.
