Aguilar was waived by the Jaguars on Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Aguilar signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in April, but was unable to beat Nick Mullens or Carter Bradley for the backup quarterback spot behind Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars are expected to remain interested in the 25-year-old rookie, and he could be a top candidate to sign to the team's practice squad should he not find interest elsewhere.
