The Dolphins waived Webster (ankle) on Friday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Webster played eight games for the Dolphins in his rookie season and averaged 19 defensive snaps per game, but the team brought in a haul of free agents and rookies to shore up the secondary during the offseason. As a result, Webster was let go. The 24-year-old has valuable experience, though, so he could find a depth role elsewhere.
