The Saints signed White (illness) to their practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
White was waived by the Saints ahead of Monday's matchup against Tampa Bay to make room for Kirk Merritt on the active roster. However, White has since cleared waivers and will return to New Orleans on a practice-squad deal. He's made seven appearances for the Saints this season, securing two of five targets for 74 yards across 127 offensive snaps.
