Cager signed with the Giants' practice squad Wednesday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.
The tight end was released by New York on Tuesday. Cager played primarily on special teams for the Giants last year but ended the season on IR with a groin injury. He also dealt with groin and hamstring injuries during training camp.
