Pettigrew (knee) plans to be ready to go by the start of training camp, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website reports.
Pettigrew suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the 2015-16 season, landing himself on injured reserve for the second half of the year. Considered the team's main blocking tight end prior to the injury, Pettigrew will have to battle with Eric Ebron and Tim Wright for snaps during the upcoming season. Pettigrew has already seen improvement in his ACL and is targeting the start of training camp for a return date, so look for further updates as camp approaches.
