Head coach Dan Campbell said Saturday that Reynolds (leg) should be available for the Lions' regular-season opener against the Rams on Sept. 8, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
Reynolds sustained a leg injury during Thursday's practice, which kept him out of Detroit's preseason finale against Pittsburgh on Saturday. He is competing against Sione Vaki for the No. 3 running back role behind Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Reynolds accumulated 16 rushing yards on five carries over his two preseason appearances.
