Reed presumably picked up the injury during the Lions' 31-24 win over the Jets in Week 3, when he played 62 of 66 defensive snaps (93.9 percent) and finished with eight tackles (five solo) and one pass defense. He'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation to full and avoid an injury designation for Sunday's road game against the Panthers.
