Lions' Jared Goff: Uncertain about Week 11
Goff (oblique) admitted Wednesday that his availability for Sunday's game against Cleveland will depend on "functionality," as he anticipates the pain will be manageable, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
Though Goff still hopes to play, he's singing a different tune from after the Lions' 16-16 tie with the Steelers this past weekend, when he said he would be fine moving forward. While he managed to play the entire game despite injuring his oblique in the first quarter, Goff may have found that the issue was more serious than he thought once the adrenaline wore off. He was held out of practice Wednesday, ceding first-string quarterback duties to Tim Boyle (thumb), who presumably is on track to be activated from injured reserve before Sunday.
