Head coach Dan Campbell indicated Tuesday that Jacobs (hamstring) should be ready to get back on the field at some point during the preseason, Jeff Risdon of WMAX-FM reports.
The cornerback was unavailable for Detroit's postseason run after injuring his hamstring in Week 15 against Denver, playing just one snap on defense the rest of the way. Jacobs was nearly an every-down player prior to getting hurt, albeit for a Lions defense that was much weaker against the pass than the run in 2023. While he's set to become a restricted free agent, it sounds like Campbell expects Jacobs to still be on the Lions' roster in 2024.
