Butler was released from the reserve/retired list by the Cardinals on Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Butler decided to retire before the start of the 2021 campaign after signing with Arizona last spring, but he's apparently considering resuming his career after taking a year off. The veteran cornerback figures to receive a fair amount of interest as a free agent should he opt for a comeback.
