New England waived Wilson on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Wilson has been on the field for the Patriots' defense in 10 of its 11 games this season, but he's now on his way out ahead of Week 12. His departure opens a spot on the 53-man roster for 2023 seventh-rounder Alex Austin (ankle), who is expected to be activated from injured reserve soon.
