Miami waived Maye on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Maye has played in all 11 of the Dolphins' games so far this season, but he's now on track for free agency ahead of Week 13. He could be a candidate for Miami's practice squad if he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period.
