The 49ers released Goodwin on Wednesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The Niners traded Goodwin to the Eagles last April, but he reverted back to San Francisco's roster after opting out of the 2020 season. The 30-year-old speedster now becomes an unrestricted free agent.
