The Packers signed Smith to the practice squad Tuesday.
With both Jonathan Ford (calf) and Javon Hargrave (Achilles) on injured reserve, the Packers addressed their depth on the interior defensive line by bringing in Smith, whose lone appearance this season was Week 4 as a member of the Dolphins. Smith was a first-round selection of the Cowboys in the 2023 NFL Draft but has appeared in only nine regular-season games over the last two years.
