Pennel (undisclosed) was released from the Bears' injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday.
Pennel landed on injured reserve last week with the unspecified injury, but he'll now hit free agency after reaching the injury settlement. The 30-year-old appeared in 14 games for Kansas City last season and recorded 29 tackles (13 solo).
