Wilcox signed with New England's practice squad Wednesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Wilcox wasn't able to crack the Patriots' 53-man roster after catching just two passes (on five targets) for nine yards across two preseason games. He brings three years of NFL experience, which should mean he'll likely be called up if tight ends Hunter Henry (undisclosed), Austin Hooper or Jaheim Bell are forced to miss time.
