The Panthers released Fox on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Fox started nine contests (17 appearances) in 2021, in which span he accrued a career-high 34 tackles (16 solo), in addition to 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Now, the 27-year-old defensive end will look to earn a new contract on the open market.
