The 49ers released Kendricks (toe) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
After suffering the toe injury during the 49ers' second preseason contest, coach Kyle Shanahan said Kendricks would be sidelined for at least a month. When he is healthy, he will be eligible to join a new team for the 2021 campaign.
