The Jaguars plan to sign Rourke off their practice squad ahead of Thursday's game against the Saints, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
If Rourke is promoted to the 53-man roster, he would provide the Jaguars with added quarterback depth while Trevor Lawrence tends to a sprained knee. For his part, Lawrence has said that he hopes to play Thursday, but if he can't go, C.J. Beathard would likely get the start while Rourke would be active as the No. 2 quarterback.
