Lawson was released by the Raiders on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Lawson was suspended for the first two games of the year for violating the NFL policy for performance-enhancing substances, but he'll be let go now that his suspension is over. Nate Hobbs has started in his place during the first two games of the season and will likely maintain a starting role. However, the Raiders are hopeful that they'll be able to sign Lawson to their practice squad.
