The Raiders waived Nelson (knee) with a failed physical designation on Monday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
The move to waive Nelson opens up a spot for fellow cornerback Prince Amukamara on the 90-man roster. The 2018 fourth-round pick appeared in two games as a special-teams contributor with the Raiders last season before sustaining a knee injury. When healthy, Nelson will look to latch on in a depth capacity with another club.
