Jones (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play Thursday against the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Jones, who last suited up for the Packers' Week 1 win over the Bears, carries a questionable tag after being deemed a limited practice participant Monday through Wednesday, but he looks poised to put an end to his two-game absence. Per Pelissero, the Packers plan to be "cautious" with Jones' workload, though he could end up seeing somewhere close to his normal allotment of snaps Thursday so long as he avoids a setback as the game unfolds. AJ Dillon, who is averaging 2.7 yards per carry through three games, is expected to move back into a reduced complementary role in anticipation of Jones' return. Official confirmation of Jones' status will arrive when Green Bay posts its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
