Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Toe surgery still on table
Rodgers relayed on Tuesday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show that a procedure on his pinky toe remains a possibility. "We're hoping to avoid surgery obviously, but it'd be so minor that I wouldn't miss any time," Rodgers said. "I could have the surgery on Monday or Tuesday and play on Sunday."
The Packers have hit their bye week, and Rodgers himself enters it with a broken toe that he's played on for three straight contests. The team will evaluate his health either later this week or early next week with the hope that rest and treatment will get his toe back to 100 percent. At that point, a decision will be made on whether surgery is the correct course of action. Whatever Rodgers and the Packers decide to do, there seems to be no worry about the quarterback suiting up for their next game Sunday, Dec. 12 against the Bears.
